Availability Check vs. Instant Booking
When adding an item to Ruckify, Owners have the option to choose between making it available as an Instant Booking, or they may require an Availability Check. If the item is posted as an Instant Booking and isn’t already rented out the Renter is able to reserve the item right away. If an item has been posted and it requires an Availability Check, Renters will need to submit a rental request which will be approved or denied by the Poster.
If an item is posted with the Instant Booking feature, Renters will not need to ask for confirmation that the item is available. Items posted as an “Instant Booking” item will allow Renters to select their rental start and end dates, click the “rent now” icon, and immediately pay and get the item reserved. Owners using the Instant Booking feature can add a heads uptime and a turn around time to allow enough time to have their items ready for rentals.
If an item is posted with the Availability Check feature, Renters will need to ask for confirmation that the item is available. To reserve an item using an availability check, the Renter will need to select their rental start and end dates then click the “request to rent” icon. Once this has been done, the Owner will receive a rental request which they have 24 hours to either accept or decline. If the request gets accepted, the Renter will get a notification letting them know that the item they requested is in their cart and is ready to be reserved.
